50/50 Family Restaurant: Your Go-To Spot for Delicious Mexican Cuisine

This is a place I felt comfortable in, which is saying a lot. The menu was excellent. The food portions were very generous and excellent in flavor. The staff was fantastic and did not hover while I was enjoying my meal. The only thing I was unhappy with was the heat from their "hottest" hot sauce. It wasn't that hot. I would highly recommend 50/50 to anyone looking for something good to eat. When I'm back in town again, I'm going to go back and enjoy another great meal. (But I'm gonna bring my own hot sauce.)

Just realized I haven't left a review yet. Oops. Been going here constantly about almost everyday for the last 2-3 weeks now. It's a really nice hole-in-the-wall restaurant ran by some of the nicest and most passionate people I've seen in a minute. Highly recommend the nachos, as it's some of the best in the county! Keep up the great work folks, never stop what you're doing!!

Sometimes, you go just for the atmosphere; here, you get large volumes of tasty food at good prices in comfortable surroundings, and maybe even some philosophy from one of two brother owners building this success story. I felt immediately at home. Now, from the road it might be tempting to drive on by, but you'd miss out on this hidden gem. I ordered the walleye special and had to take some home. Lots of food!

I keep coming here and I keep leaving happy! Time and time again the food is delicious and reasonably priced. I tried chilaquiles for the first time here and I was NOT disappointed! They were delicious. Can’t forget about the classic country fried steak! The gravy had good flavor and the breading was crispy.

Very nice people good food prices not bad for what you get

Stopped in for lunch during our work day to meet my son. Only three other people in the place when we got there, but there were some dirty tables with tableware still on them, so probably had been busier sooner. Got our drinks fast and orders in right away. Took about 30 minutes to get our food and I had to ask for refills on our sodas. The food was delicious though and definitely worth the wait! I got the 50/50 Burger with fries and my son got the chicken panini with fries. The side of fries was well portioned on both plates, done to perfection, and the sandwiches were very flavorful! (I recommend getting the chipotle ranch sauce to dip your fries in.) A couple groups came in while we were eating, so we never got another refill. If the refills had been kept up on and the tables that were dirty when we got there had been cleaned up before we left I would easily have rated them a 5 star review. All in all a good place to eat, well worth the price, and we will definitely be back again!

This place is truly one of the best when it comes to freshly made food. The staff was incredibly accommodating, going out of the way to prepared a custom dish for my partner that wasn’t on the menu and made sure everything was perfect. I ordered the French toast, which was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. A hidden gem for sure!

Great food! Unique specials! The chicken and rice soup was amazing and my aunts chicken Pierrot was as well! Always friendly and supportive of the neighborhood! Definitely order dine in or take out. Big portions too!
